Stitch or Switch... Main concept














The aim of this project was to launch the concept of a vintage clothes swap shop/bar into the UK market. We had to apply one main concept across three different media. I aimed my campaign at students and came up with 'Vintage Talks' The idea that every item of clothing or accessory has a past life, a story behind it. I used this curiosity that people have about pre-loved clothing as the selling point of this brand. I applied this idea to a poster, Viral video and also an iPhone application interface.

The poster is straight forward and introduces the concept by stating one of the many reasons why people love vintage clothing.

My iPhone interface that i have designed will allow users to upload images of their clothing that they are wishing to swap, and also allows them to upload the story behind the clothing. This Stitch or Switch interface will allow consumers view items which will be available for swapping and also put a reserve on things they like. It will also allow them to read up about the history of the item, there will be no need to wonder anymore, they will be in the know.

My viral video that i produced will be shot inside the Stitch or Switch swap shop/ bar. Starring a women trying on a vintage dress and being transported back to a past era and reliving the 'story' of the dress. There could be several different videos shot for both males and female audiences, but this specific one the woman travels back to an old fashioned fancy ballroom dance.
